FLOWER CARE

Fresh flowers are a natural product, and every arrangement develops differently. Proper care helps preserve their beauty and freshness for as long as possible.

Hand-Tied Bouquets

·     Remove the bouquet from its wrapping carefully, while keeping the floral tie in place if you wish to preserve the original shape.

·      Use a clean vase and fill it with fresh, cool water.

·      Trim approximately 1-2 cm from each stem at an angle before placing the flowers in water.

·      Remove any leaves that would sit below the waterline.

·      Change the water every one to two days and rinse the vase before refilling it.

·      Re-trim the stems whenever the water is changed.

Flowers in a Vase

·    Keep the vase filled with enough clean water to cover the lower part of the stems.

·    Check the water level daily, especially during warm weather.

·     Remove wilted petals, leaves and flowers to help the remaining blooms stay fresh.

Flowers in Floral Foam

·    Add a small amount of fresh water to the floral foam every day.

·     Pour water slowly near the center of the arrangement to avoid spilling.

·    Do not remove stems from the foam, as reinserting them may damage the design and reduce water absorption.

Best Placement

·     Keep flowers in a cool indoor location.

·     Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources, strong air conditioning and drafts.

·    Keep arrangements away from ripening fruit, which naturally releases ethylene gas and may shorten flower life.

·      Place the arrangement on a stable surface, away from pets and small children.

Important Note

Some flowers and plant materials may be harmful if consumed and may cause irritation. Keep all floral products away from food, pets and children. If you need information about a specific flower used in your arrangement, contact AIMI Floral Studio.
